Recent reports that the professor is actually a consultant for one drug firm that manufactures Tamiflu. Professor Maria Zambon is also one of the members of the committee. She is from the UK Health Protection Agency’s Centre for Infection and revealed that she had funding from several drug firms that create vaccines for the disease like Novartis, GSK and Baxter. She warned during the outbreak last year that one third of the children who go to school in the country had the virus without their knowledge since there are no symptoms showing. US professor Arnold Monto also revealed that he did researches for GSK and Baxter who make jabs. Other firms that he worked for include Novartis and Sanofi. Most critics said that there was a huge conflict among the interests of the parties involved and caused to spending a huge amount of the money of the taxpayers.
